Monitor recommendation for local gaming

Any recommendations for a monitor to use with FGU for local gaming? Intent is to to use it as a map in the center of the table so two must haves are it must lie flat (although there are work arounds i suppose) and have a great viewing angle. SO presumably an ips panel. I'm thinking minimum 17 incH display and bigger is better to a point.

Is anyone doing this already with a monitor they love for that purpose?

(I should add, I already use a TV built into a table for home gaming but looking for portability when gaming outside the home)
