Campaign Builder: Dungeons and Ruins
I'm a little confused with how this book was converted.
It seems to be listed in the store as a 5E module instead of a Tales of the Valiant/Black Flag module (which is odd because it contains a Mechanist Subclass, something that is unique to the blackflag based 5e games, and these subclasses are for ToV class progressions, it has heritages listed as well) and it only has one module that isn't loadable by players (which again is odd, because it contains player options like ToV subclasses, heritages, backgrounds that have Talents,etc,....this is a ToV book).
The hard cover copy I have has the ToV and 5E symbol on it.
Regardless of the odd game listing (I get it's all supposed to be compatible, even if this book uses ToV style syntax and rules) this really needs a player module.Last edited by drempel; March 11th, 2025 at 22:48.

One error I noticed immediately: Interacting with Environments is missing its image.

The monsters have the same problems that the monster vault had with the collection of immunities. "Demonic Resilience" isn't something that fantasy grounds automation recognizes.
I just checked the Caverns of the Spore Lord, and it also uses them. As a test, I just hit a Mechadron Solodron with poison damage, and it died.
It's looking more and more like FG is not the place to run a Tales of the Valiant game, which is a crying shame. Whether you look at it as "the extension doesn't support the rules set" or "the modules aren't converted properly," the end result is the same: a busted implementation that keeps happening.
This needs to change. This is not okay, especially with regard to the money involved.
