Possibility of an Editable Skills and Powers Tab?
Currently there's no way to make those 2 tabs editable. That's a poblem for me as I typically run a zero session in which Player's build their own PCs. That'll become difficult though, if a player drags & drops an incorrect skill or power on either or those tabs. Which will no doubt happen for at least 1 player.
I'm wondering what would be required to make both of those editable, such as the Main-Weapons and the Inventory tabs are?
I'm somewhat familiar with extensions, so I'd be willing to try to create one if I know it's doable and where I need to make changes.

The ruleset was setup with a by-gone design and would require a significant redesign to skirt away from the current system and to work with current campaigns and content. Custom content can be removed with a right click on the entry and choosing delete. If you would like to set your own default information than an extension would have to be made.

OK, I didn't realize I could do that with powers. So, that would would satisfy my need to be able to remove powers that were drag & dropped in error. However, I'm not able to right-click delete any skills that were drag & dropped.
Would it be possible to enable right-click deleting for skills?Last edited by kronovan; February 12th, 2025 at 19:25.

Removal of custom skills already in place. You mouse over any custom skill and right click for the delete option in the radial. This works for skills that have additional specializations as well. Skills that are not custom however would need an extension to remove.

Well that explains why I can't delete them. Since my setting is prehistoric in theme, a number of the default skills won't be used. I also only want to include a core set of skills on the skills tab - using a modification of Stollesson's extension for that.
So how does one go about creating an extension that would allow default/not custom skills to be deleted? Just pointing me to the specific script file would be a good start.

The scripts/manager_gameline.lua file is what would need to be made to overwrite and modify the base system.

OK, I'm somewhat familiar with that script, due to exploring how Stolleson's extension changes it.
I think I already have a work around though. I created a new skills group and dragged & dropped all the appropriate skills in the BRP Game System X group to make copies. Then moved those copies to my custom group. I'd forgotten that those copies would be treated as a custom skill. So, if I drag & drop a skill from my custom group to the character sheet, they can be deleted later if so desired. In my other test, I was using skills from the Game System X group.
I always insist on players selecting skills from my custom skills group (also custom Powers, Items & Professions groups) when creating PCs, so this will definitely work for me.
[Edit] I might even export a custom module and have the players only use it.Last edited by kronovan; February 13th, 2025 at 01:53.
