    Player connection issues

    Summary:
On Monday (2/3) and today (2/5) players are unable to connect to the game, or if they connect their connection flakes out very quickly. On the GM side, I'll see messages around `losing connection to cloud server` while they're failing to connect. My connection is otherwise fast and stable.

    Logs attached.

After a couple of restarts, I have everyone connected. Any suggestions on improving stability would be great.

If the GM machine is seeing issues with the connection to the cloud server; then there is some sort of issue with the GM's connection to the Internet being affected, which would explain why the connections become intermittent.

First step is always to reboot your machine in order to have a fresh slate.
Any additional steps depend on what is happening. The issue could be wifi interference, or DDoS attacks on your ISP, or any number of issues.
If it's persistent, you should check out the Network Troubleshooting guide on the wiki in order to make sure that you don't have any security settings on your machine, your router or your ISP account blocking communications, especially anything to do with filtering/throttling/blocking/QoS/etc.

    OSX network security

Recently, some players were unable to consistently connect to my game. Whenever the player attempted to connect the server message of:
"Lost connection to cloud server. Player may not be able to join game. Attempting to reconnect..."
Followed a couple seconds later by:
    "Connection to cloud server restored."
The game server is running on a M4 Mac mini with OS X and the players with issues are also running OS X. Players running on PCs did not have the issue.
The issue is resolved by going to the server's System Settings: Local Network and switching the Fantasy Grounds entry to on from off.
I have no idea if the setting was ever on in the past or if so, what caused it to turn off, but by making sure it was on resolved the issue.
    Hopefully this helps.
