Level Up for Old School Essentials Question

I am trying to level up characters and running into problems. I have character that was Level 1 and gained XP (enough for Level 2) and clicked on the "magnifying" icon to put in their XP. This worked for level 1 to 2 - but when I put in xp to get to 3, and do the same as I mentioned it doesn't work. Please advise.

You probably need to apply the XP so that it gets multiplied by the bonus. What does XP earned on the front of the charactersheet say?

I applied it, and it worked for a couple of levels, but not the last few. It shows the right xp that it should on the sheet.

I ran a character all by he way up. No issues Give me some screen shots or post them in discord

I was starting with a Thief that had 9109 XP (a character from roll20 I am trying to add in FG). So I started by adding that amount of XP. I got to level 2 but couldn't get to Level 3. I will try a character going in at 0XP and see if that works.

I just did a character from Level 0 through 4 and it worked fine (the method you mentioned).

However, when I add a character that already had say 10,000 XP (I got to level 3 but could not continue as you had). I have attached a screenshot

you have to level incrementally. You can't go from 1 to 3. I bet next time you log in it will show the level up button.
