    "MN Bonus"

NPCs in the FG implementation of Rolemaster rules have a "MN Bonus" value. For NPC this is on the "Main" page of the NPC character sheet. For PCs I can find a "MM" value on the "party sheet (strangely I do not find it on their character sheet). Not sure if this is supposed to be the same.

I assume (but please correct me) that the "MN" value is supposed to be the bonus on MovemeNt Maneuvers if these are not applying any other specific skill bonus. According to the "Maneuver Modifications Chart" in Character Law, if this assumption is correct, it should be equal to the agility bonus of the PC, minus any Armor Maneuver Modification (which can only be negative or zero). That seems not to be correct, I regularly observe "MN Bonus" values that are higher than the agility bonus of the NPC.

Can anyone help me here? What does "MN Bonus" really mean, and how is it determined?

    MANEUVER MODIFICATIONS CHART

    Effect Category and Notes

    ‡ (variable)
Applicable skill bonus (see Section 3.0).
    ‡ (variable)
Bonuses due to spells (see SL).
    ≤ (variable)
    Unusual absurdities (determined by GM).
    ‡(variable)
    Miscellaneous (determined by GM).

Note: Modifications are cumulative unless noted otherwise.

These are other possible mods folded into the MN you’re seeing. Also, RM2 mentions that this isn’t necessarily always based on AG.
