I dont know if this is an FGU issue, so please dont shoot me for asking
Im having some sound volume issues that I didn’t think was an FGU issue but perhaps it is after all. I am wondering if there is a volume button that I accidentally turned down? Im using VLC, not syrinscape but everything EXCEPT my sound effects thru FGU come out OK. Unfortunately the sound effects, even at highest level in Discord (200%) are still pretty low. Not, I just smacked a monster in the face loud.
So other than the syrinscape volume controls which don’t affect me, is there anything else in FGU that could be causing this? A few weeks back the volume seemed fine but everyone was having trouble hearing any sound effects at my last game.
Thank you.

The only volume control inside FGU is for the sound that the dice make when rolled (/dicevolume 0-100 on|off), so it's unlikley to be anything to do with Fantasy Grounds.
It's more likely to be a volume control inside of windows or the VLC you are using or something similar. If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

There are a couple of controls for Syrinscape volume in the Sound: Context window (Global volume and oneshot volume). These SHOULD only affect Syrinscape but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check that they've not got set down to a low level - set them to 100 and see if anything changes. I don't know whether that affects anything if you are using sound triggers etc to trigger local files but it wouldn't hurt to check.
In Discord, check your Voice & Video settings for Input and Output volume - again make sure they've not got set to a low level and set them back to 100%. There's also the Soundboard volume if you are triggering sounds at all that way in Discord.
Cheers, Hywel

Make sure your system audio is selected to the right output and that it is not low for your computer itself. I would start there. Also, the mastering audio levels of the sounds might also effects might be lower as well. VLC can have a shortcut key combo that might be lowering the volume too.
