Rolling power/spell to automatically apply effect?
I'm trying to implement some powers that are automatic when activated, like the demonic possession from Knight of St. Ydris.
The effect is easy - DMG: 1; [Self]. However, can you link that to the actual "d20" click icon? The one you usually roll to see if a spell works? Or even for existing spells, any way to affect be applied automatically if roll succeeds (for my current example it always succeeds) or is this always a 2-step process?
Also, is there a way to track charges? In FG-SD I only see the 1 checkbox for spells, can use/cannot use. In 5E you could have multiple checkboxes...here for example, that power can be used 3x/day.
Thank you!

No in shadowdark you know the spell or you lost the spell because of a failed roll. So that is how it is coded.
I don't understand the power to be able to answer the first question.https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/199/view

It could really be anything like spells, say invisibilty. You roll to see if spells succeeds (click one) and IF so, you need to apply the effect on you or target. But thats click two. Another one is "fly". Sure, the "effect" doesnt do anything but put a time limited text on your character, but you still need to manually apply it.
Basically what I had hoped for is "if check succeeds, apply effect on target" (especially if target is self)
As for the power/spells usages..any other tips how to handle things you can do X/day? (Im wondering if you could somehow use the ammo function/tickboxes..)

Ok I understand. Each spell has its own effect. All you have to do is hit the button, no targeting or dragging required if the effect is correctly made in the module. This is a standard function across many rulesets.
For Abilities that are X a day use the ability tab to track. There is a way to track on there. "uses remaining" that decrements on double clickhttps://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/199/view
