Macro Help with custom Origin creation

Hello, I am making a custom origin character, the Commonwealth Minuteman from the Settler's guide. I see in the included list that the player can roll on the Random Food table. When I look up another officially made character, there appears to be a macro embedded in the list that allows the player to click on the speech icon and it rolls the appropriate number of dice. Are there instructions some where on how to set this macro up, or is it just a back-end dev thing. I am including some pics attached to the post for clarity.

Type the command that you want but don't press return. Drag what you typed from chat and drop into wherever you want it to be. Select the text you dropped and then press CTRL+3 to make it a speech bubble.
