Attempting to Drag and Drop pages from Sword Coast Adventures Guide to Player Notes
I'm trying to transfer several items from the Sword Coast Adventurers Guide, specifically, Introduction to Religion, The Gods of Faerun Introduction (with the tables/charts for each of the Pantheons) and the Individual Pages for each Deity, when I attempt to Drag by the Shield Link Thingy (is that still the technical term?) it looks like I've grabbed the Link but when I attempt to drop it on the Player Notes, either when creating a new note, or just dragging and dropping to a blank space on the Notes. I've checked, and there is no lock icon on the pages I'm interested in. I have also clicked on the little Copy Record icon, but there is no way to paste it in Player Notes. Am I just missing something obvious, or is there a trick to this.
If it matters, I'm running FGU on an HP Desktop, Windows 11
Thanks for anybody who can tell me what I'm doing wrong

From the sounds of it, you are attempting to create a note. The link you are attempting to drop are story entries. Two different record types. Those are actually already in a record if you open the masterindex (window that appears when you click on the sidebar button) if you search for the title of the page.

Just Share the story entry and then it will show up for the players in their Story entries.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by masterindex and sidebar. If the sidebar you are referring to is on the right side of the screen, with Tools, Library, Player etc, I don't see the masterindex window, can you clarify?
And I wasn't aware of the different types between Player Note and Story, so thanks for telling me that.Last edited by redjacobson; Yesterday at 04:23. Reason: attempting to add a subject to my reply

How to Share story entries
I'm not finding a way to share anything in the Sword Coast Adventures Guide or any of the other modules/books (I've tried both choices), I know how to share a note once it's created, but getting from A to B to C is where I'm going off the road. Am I missing something, or need to be looking in a different location?

The sidebar

The masterindex is the window that appears when you click on one of those buttons. It shows all the available records in the campaign and any module you have open.Dominic Morta

The standard process to share a data record is via the right-click menu.
If you want to share an individual page from a Book (reference manual) open that individual page (link in the top-left of the page in the reference manual) and then use the right-click sharing menu.Private Messages: My inbox is forever filling up with PMs. Please don't send me PMs unless they are actually private/personal messages. How to share a Story Book (reference manual) page:
1) Open the individual page using the link. You can also find this page in the campaign Story sidebar list - search for the name.
2) Use the right-click menu to share the individual page, or
3) Use the Share Button

Thank You!
I'm thinking my mistake was trying to use the Copy File button on the right side of the screen and then right clicking, instead of starting with the Shield Link Thingy

You can use the copy button on the top right of the page. Start by opening stories from the right hand menu and then click on Add Advanced item at the bottom. Now click on the copy icon of the page you want to copy and then click on the paste icon in the new page you just created.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php
