Help with custom feats and actions
Hello,
I've attempted to search for an answer to this but I'm not finding anything, so hopefully I can get some help from one of you all.
I'm making a custom subclass, and I'm homebrewing a feat that give advantage. Now I know how to create a power, and how to make an effect to give adv/disadv.
What I need help with is currently, a built-in class like rogue or fighter, when gaining levels the feats and associated powers will be automatically added to the actions tab. For example, when taking fighter you get action surge, which will automatically be added to the abilities and actions tab. The feat I want to make is only being added to the abilities tab, there is no associated actions tab feature being automatically added.
Can someone help me figure out how to make it where, when adding a level with a custom class, associated abilities are automatically added to the action tab?
thank you.

First, we have to know in which ruleset. And if D&D 5E, then please clarify if its Legacy or 2024 rules.

Currently the actions that are being added to the actions tab are hard coded into the ruleset. The ruleset recognises the name of the ability (such as Rage) and adds the effect associated with that ability. So there isn’t a form of words you can use for a Homebrew class that would add effects. You would need to write an extension to do that automagically.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

Also, is an actual Feat, or a Class Ability? A Fest is separate and can be picked by anyone. The Fighters Action Surge is an ability, not a feat, and is handled differently.

Apologies, by “handled differently” I meant the fact that abilities are part of the class, and feats are separate and have their own popup window
