Character sheet leveling

Just drag and drop the class like in 5e. You can drag it from the sheet or from the class box in the side menu.

On the Main tab of the character sheet, next to Class & Level, there should be a (in my theme) gear box. Click to get to the Class & Level pop-up, which includes a LVL UP button. If you are leveling up in a single class, click that button. If adding a class, there's a + button below. You can then select which class to level up afterwards. After clicking LVL UP, you have Character Level Up pop-up, with Level Up button. Click that. Select your options. Eventually confirm, then save.

This is what my character screen looks like. I don't see the gear button you talk about. I was able to add levels by adding a class. What if I want to reset the character back to level 1?
I don't see how to do that. Perhaps I can't.

I don't see it either. You may be limited to drop and drag. And as far as I know there's no way to reset a character back to an earlier level in any of the rulesets.

Generally you cant level down. Start a new character if you have to do this.
