Fantasy Grounds Forge Extension not loading - Syrinscape Sound Chat Triggers
Hi,
For about 3 weeks I have been wondering why Syrinscape was not playing when chats were triggered by the game as we played.
Had a look today and the extension Syrinscape Sound Chat Triggers is not present and the Forge is not loading the file into my data directory. I tried disabling and then enabling this in the forge to see if I could trick it into loading but its seams to be out.
Any ideas how to fix?

This is actually a module and not an extension, but on reading the description it seems it does need an extension to work - and possibly another module. If you open up your vault folder and find a file with this name in it 99bcbff4-ec11-11eb-8c52-0050562be458 you could try deleting that and then do another update. I am assuming your are referring to this product https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/118/view but if you mean this one (which I think might be required) https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/117/view then search for this string of gobblegook instead 9b37553e-ec10-11eb-8c52-0050562be458 and delete it and do an update. If you have both delete both and update.

I am the author of the syrinscape ext. The Syrinscape Ext and Chat Triggers module will not show up in your modules/extension folders as they are in the vault. In the vault they will appear as
Syrinscape EXT: 9b37553e-ec10-11eb-8c52-0050562be458.dat
Chat Triggers Module: 99bcbff4-ec11-11eb-8c52-0050562be458.dat

Hi, I have been away from FG for 8 months. I cannot get the chat triggers to work. I do see the above module in the vault. I do not see the Syrinscape extension. I have a full subscription to syrinscape. I look in the chat triggers menu in FGU and it is empty.

To be clear, Fantasy Grounds now supports Syrinscape integration without need of an extension (which you are still free to use if you prefer its functionality over the native option). Having said, which of the two are you trying to use and what exactly is the problem you are facing?

Essentially my syrinscape sounds are all available. I can add and play sound sets / one shots etc. Prior I (when I purchased the chat triggers) when a character took a mace attack or spell the sound would trigger. The chat triggers are not initiating. I look in the chat triggers folder in the syrinscape window and it is blank. Not sure how to load the premade chat triggers purchased if the extension is no longer needed. Plus I do not have the old version. Just the forge items.

No. Just the rob2e syrinscape sounds link and chat triggers. I have not tried anything else. But the 2 forge items when I used previously had all the chat triggers loaded and worked. If the new items integrate easier I would purchase them.

Ultimately, the FG Syrinscape integration is built in - no need for extensions.
