Getting Error Messages every time I click an NPC in 5e D&D
Ok, not really sure where to post all this, but, every time I click to open an NPC sheet, I get a truck full of errors after the latest update. Additionally, the NPC sheets are not displaying correctly:

Is there more information I should be including here?

Extensions?
Log files?
Unpacked copies of rulesets?

This will be caused by one or more extensions. Disable them all and then re-enable them a few at a time until you start getting errors again to track down which ones that are at fault.
Check the forum threads for any that don't work to see if there is an update; or what the status of the extension is.If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

Yeah, the fact the Aboleth has a section at the bottom called “Effect Features” shows you have an extension, that’s not standard.
Most likely it is from the Advanced Effects extension.Last edited by johnecc; September 27th, 2024 at 15:56.

Okie doke. Yeah, I'm running various extensions. Will spend some time chasing down the culprit. Thanks.
I do wish you could turn extensions on and off from within the board and not have to go out and in over and over again to find what's broken. This is going to take freaking forever.

What I have seen suggested is to switch off half of your extensions and see if that fixes the issue. If not then switch off half again and so on. Also think about what the extensions you have do. Any extension which does something to NPCs (like Advanced Effects mentioned above) is going to be at a higher chance of causing the issue than one that doesn't affect NPCs at all.

Lessee, went through my extensions, axed a bunch that I am not actually using right now for various reasons. The main culprits appeared to be Temporal Fixation, the Mount Extension for 5e, Friend Zone.
No more cohort tab. Boo.

Yes, if an extension isn’t in the Forge, you will need to keep an eye out when major changes occur, and manually update when the author releases a fix

To clarify: I am talking about extensions that are in the forge, that have been broken, that for whatever reason their author is unable to update/fix. For some of them (case in point, Me&Unique’s extensions like Friend Zone), members of the community have stepped up and patched things up (not necessarily perfectly in all cases, but enough to have the extension in working order). But you can find these fixes in the extensions’ respective threads. Not by updating via the forge.
