how do i make A bloodline ability show up on a sorcerer caharacter sheet

First time user:
I'm making an elemental sorcerer I can't figure out how to get the bloodline power Elemental Ray to be on the actions tab. I have dragged the Elemental Ray into the class abilities pane of the Abilities tab but no action appears

Everything on the actions tab other than weapons are designated as spells. in the bottom right corner there should be an icon for new spell category (or something like that). that will create a new section in the action tab that you can open the detail view of and add spell levels, Caster Level and others. put a 1 in the first level box and a new section will appear under the category. drop the elemental ray spell in that new section

So, i follow you i think, right up to "drop elemental ray spell in that new section" It's a bloodline power not a spell so I look in Special Abilities, Select Pathfinder Core Rules, select Sorcerer Bloodline Power but there's nothing in the box to drag. Frustrating!

this UI is just so arcane ... its discouraging in a way I don't have words for. Hence the 6 months I haven't even looked at it.
I can't believe a core ability is so crazy to add.

forget what its labeled... spell, racial ability, Magic fairy dust... for the effect to happen, you are using spell effects as the game sees it. it doesn't really care if its a wand of enlarge, a scroll of enlarge, an enlarge spell, a special ability, potion or a curse.... its all still an enlarge spell EFFECT, so you use the enlarge spell.
