How to put space in boxed text?

How do you put a space in boxed text? Every time that I hit return/enter it puts the remaining text outside of the text box. I also tried editing the text in Notepad and copy/pasting. But, it's no good.

I know that it must be possible to make spaces because I can see them in the prewritten box text.

Shift Enter should work.

Place your cursor where you want the line break to be and then hold down SHIFT and press return twice.
