Tome of Heroes dice mechanics

Trying to find out info from any of you fine folks who have grabbed tome of heroes, I know that the books has firearms rules which give them exploding damage dice capped by proficiency - as far as I can tell exploding dice can be done but only as chat commands in the 5e ruleset.

Is there automation the the module to make this work, or if you have to do it manually what are the setups you recommend? Cheers!

Looking at the store entry I see no mention of an Extension. If it comes with an extension, then perhaps the extension implements the custom dice rules, otherwise you will have to do it manually or via a chat command. There should also be a book/story page with notes about the FG Conversion. That entry should tell you any special things like extensions or how to handle anything special, if the converter accounted for it.

Gotcha, thanks. I know there's an effects extension someone made in the forge but I no idea if either that or the book contains the specific dice extension the mechanic requires. Bit of a shame that for a lot of the sourcebooks the only way to get all the info on what they contain is to buy them and frantically do a steam return if they don't have what you thought. But thanks for the clarification! If I get it I'll drop an edit to say if it does or doesn't.
