Quest Hook (Read to Players):
The air carries a strange chill tonight, one that coils around your spine despite the fire’s warmth. A hunched old woman, dressed in mourning black, approaches your campfire clutching a silver locket and a crumpled letter. Her voice trembles as she speaks:
“Please… someone must stop the music.”
She tells of Withering Hollow, a village swallowed by fog and silence—save for a haunting violin that plays each dusk from the woods beyond. Travelers who follow the sound vanish without a trace. The locals speak of a ghostly figure known only as The Violinist, who performs a sorrowful melody in search of a lost muse.
“The music lures the soul. And once it hears your heart… it won’t let go.”
She begs you to travel to Withering Hollow and silence the song before it claims more lives. Her silver locket bears a name etched in worn script:
