I think if you play around with it you will find that is not the cause. The stats were updating on initial load but not after cycling. It was not unique to that one spell script on my end.

Yeah, it when it switches from Man. to PP that it loses the Stat bonus.
To fix it, open the skill, then type a space into the Stat field, then delete the space.

I may be misremembering, but I think any skill that only has one Stat listed is supposed to double that Stat modifier.
