If you're not interested in a long-term campaign, or if you have a history of conflict with others, or if you have problems with being responsible (showing up on time, sober), please don't apply. I want the campaign to be fun for everyone.

Characters will be private investigators, former law enforcement, hackers, college students, professionals—the specifics of your background are less important than the things you have in common. Each character has brushed against something that can't be explained by the mundane world. That exposure to the unnatural has left its mark in some way. Maybe the PC has The Sight (able to see things hidden from normal sight). Maybe the PC has some sort of sensitivity to the presence of the supernatural. Maybe the PC can learn things by touching items once held by a suspect or a missing person (psychometry).

This isn't sorcery or superpowers, just the option of a minor gift. Whatever it is, this ability sets the PC apart from others, and it's what makes the character a very special asset.

The campaign will be a mix of "monster of the week" type scenarios and an overarching plot. As this is more dangerous and less pulp, we'll use Gritty Damage.

Wish I had the extra free time to squeeze in another weekly, game. As a public endorsement, I'll say that I was lucky enough to play a couple of your horror/mystery (Cthulu?)games YEARS ago at Genghis Con and I still hold them as some of the best games I've ever played.

Ah, man, yeah, those were an absolute blast! I was so blessed to have exceptional groups for both of those sessions. Believe it or not, the first one was an OGL d20 Horror ruleset with a home-brew setting. The second was Savage Worlds in the same setting but a different storyline. I think you played the Roddy McDowall-based PC (Roderick) or the Andy Serkis-based Francois? I thought it was Francois, because I could've sworn you had something like 13 bennies that you burned through when the tarantulas swarmed your arachnophobic character? That was such an epic session. I really need to get back to Genghis Con. We have such awesome players here in the Denver area.
