How to recreate my paper dungeon on FG
I've got a large dungeon on graph paper and index cards. I'd like to recreate my dungeon in FG. The advice and instructions I've found cover install and using a purchased module. I purchased BASCIC01 and installed it. So I've got that much figured out, but as to how to input hundreds of characters and dozens of maps, I have no clue.
Any guides/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

The advice is here... https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forum...Best-Practices along with the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.

So it depends....
Take a look at the Adventure Module Creation Best Practices link in my sig for some details. This will tell you about "development" campaigns that you will want to create all your contents in and then export to modules to use for your "play" campaigns.
I start with maps. Do you have your current maps in digital format? Is so, converting them to .webp is recommended as it is currently the best format to control file size. Details here: Working with Images as the GM - Fantasy Grounds Customer Portal - Fantasy Grounds
If you don't have the as digital maps and don't want to use scans of them, then you can draw them "new" in FG. It has some great map making tools built in. See; Creating Maps - Fantasy Grounds Customer Portal - Fantasy Grounds
Then I create items. The steps will vary based upon the ruleset you are using, you didn't say, but most are similar. Just create a new items and fill out the details.
Then Spells and if your ruleset has things like Benefits or Feats etc, create those next. Then create your NPCs or 'monsters'. I create these after the other things because they often rely upon the things you have already created. Then things like tables.
Next, create Stories. These are locations or events like room descriptions or pages of a module. You can create them into more book like format using the "Books" feature. When you are creating stories, you can then add links to Encounters (groups of NPCs pre-placed on maps), Treasure Parcels, Locations, Images/Maps, etc.
For creation of all those database objects, see; Managing Campaign Data - Stories, Tables, Categories, etc. - Fantasy Grounds Customer Portal - Fantasy Grounds
Now go back and make sure all your maps have pins/links to all the appropriate story entries.
Then you can spice up your content with things like Line of Sight and Lighting on your maps. Random Encounters and Story Templates.
