Body Development - no base bonus - wrong level bonus
I am recently encountering an issue with how hit points are calculated for RM Classic. Please see attachement:
BD - no base bonus - wrong level bonus.jpg
FIRST ISSUE
The level bonus is wrongly calculated for Body Development. The PC is a Fighter Lvl 1, so it should be +3. However, it shows +15, which is obviously wrong. All other level bonuses are calculated correctly, as you see from the screenshot, just Body Development is wrong
SECOND ISSUE
According to the rules, Hit points should be calculated as
HP = (Co-Value/10 + Rank Bonus) x (1+ Co-Bonus) + Level Bonus
In the example, this would be
HP = (9 + 20) x 1.15 + 15 = 48.35, so probably to be rounded on 48. If somehow, the formula used in the FG-RMC ruleset would use the correct value for the Level Bonus, i.e. +3, he result would be 36. And if the formula used in the FG-RMC ruleset ignored the base bonus (Co-Value/10), the result should be 37 (20*1.2+15
However, it shows 38 HP which is wrong.
I assume that the calculation
1) ignores the base bonus (Co-Value/10)
2) uses the wrong level bonus (+15)
because HP = Rank Bonus x (1+ Co-Bonus) + Level Bonus = 20 x 1.15 +15 = 38
Has anybody observed the same? Any way to correct this?
For info: I am using the "Rolemaster Classic (RMC) BHT Con Bonus" (which should correct the missing base bonus, but does no longer it seems) by thecatacost, but the errors persist even when I disable it.

Hi jowe01,
The base hits aren't automatically calculated without the Rolemaster Classic (RMC) BHT Con Bonus extension. They need to be manually added to the rank bonus tab.
For the level bonus, I thought like you that it was per level like all the other skills but someone pointed out to me where the 09-07 LEVEL BONUS TABLE: RM2 OPTION table says this:
Body Dev.: Applies to the number of “hits” obtained by each Body Development skill rank.

Thank you, Dakadin, for the fast and helpful answer.
On level bonus: Wow, I had never realized this in more than 40 years of playing with Rolemaster (and neither had my players). Thank you for pointing this out and implementing it in the ruleset . Super.
On the base hits one remark that might help others: If you activate the Rolemaster Classic (RMC) BHT Con Bonus extension and then look at a character sheet (you might need to close and re-open it once), it will correctly display the hit points including the base value ( = Constitution value / 10). BD - before 02.jpg BD - before 01.jpg
However, if you then click on "Skill Development" in order to see more details, it seems that the extension gets deactivated and the base value will disappear from the total HP. BD - after.jpg
Luckily, if you close the Skill Development window, the calculation reverts back to the correct value.

It seems to me that the extension "Rolemaster Classic (RMC) BHT Con Bonus " is no longer working. Has anybody else realized this? Does anybody know how to coorect this, ie how to add again the base HP (Constitution valiue/10) to the total HP?

Super, thx for the info.
If Dakadin is on it, we can be sure that it will be corrected soon.

From some of my players I am receiving alerts that there seems to be a general issue with level bonuses (we are using the RMC II option) not limited to the Body Development skills. I am travelling, so I cannot check it at the moment, but that would of course be bad, leading to either quite considerable work to manually update all skills when levelling up (which is also error-prone), or accepting quite a weakening of characters compared to the intention of regular rules.
Hopefully Dakadin is fully aware of the issue (if really there is one, as said, I cannot check before the weekend)

I'm sorry to tell you that I believe support for RMC has stopped. I heard Dakadin was working exclusively on the new RMU rules but something in his world took priority and now even that is on hold. So I wouldn't expect a fix anytime soon. You can edit them manually or you can switch to a different option for now but if you're waiting for a fix, you may be in for a long wait.

That would truly be a . He was always extremely helpful. And add one moment and no longer being able to play the FRP system of my life on fantasy grounds would be sad.

Support for RMC hasn't stopped. I am posting fixes as people show me where they are having issues. If some has an issue please post details so I can recreate it and I will work on fixing the issues. What I haven't had time for lately is to run a RMC game so I am not able to catch the issues without someone letting me know about them.
I won't be working on any extensions that have issues though because I don't currently have time for it.
