Just wanted to update you on this.
I had to make a fresh campaign but I did recreate this.
I'm still looking over what solution to go with though but it should be taken care of by next week.

How do we set initial story point counts?
How do we consume (reduce) the story point count?

  4. #14
I take it there is no character wizard for this ruleset?

  5. #15
No, there are no built-in character wizards for the Essence20 line of rulesets.

On a PC character sheet, on the Main tab, the box labelled "S-points" just below Movement. Put your mouse cursor over the box and hold down the CTRL key. Now scroll wheel (trackpad two finger swipe) up or down to increase or decrease character-specific Story Points.

For the party as a whole, the S-point pool is (default) bottom left -- below the Chat Log window, adjacent to the "EDGE" & "SNAG" buttons and the shift window -- and can be clicked on and typed into.

Our last session that did not work. Yes, it sets a value for each user seperately. However, story points are a group resource. Every member must have the same amount. The GM sets a value, but then the value the GM sees is not the same as the value the player sees.

I think I see your problem. The Party pool beneath the chat window is the TOTAL of the amounts shown on each PC's character sheet. I believe it is set up that way as an artefact of other rule sets, and perhaps to properly award S-points for skill test Fumbles.
