    small sized weapons

How do I make or modify a weapon so the damage die is appropriate and will show up in the actions tab
    "It's Tough being a grownup!"

You can either make a copy of the item and change the stats to the Small size; or you can adjust the weapon fields on the PC sheet directly (just click the weapon details and change the damage).

on the character sheet I tried opening up the weapon, unlocking it, changing the damage dice, locking it, but nothing changed on the character sheet. Didn't see anywhere to open a copy of the weapon
    Super frustrating

The "weapon" data entry is created when the "item" is dropped on the PC sheet. They are actually separate from that point onward.

If you create a new item in the campaign, then add the new one to the character sheet, then the weapon entry will pick up the new data for the weapon entry created for the new item.

Otherwise, you can just edit the weapon entry directly using the gear icon next to the weapon attack/damage on the PC Actions tab.

Where can I find step by step for either of these? It's not clear to me what to do. I see items and can find add an item. But then I don't know what to do next. From your reply this must be trivial but isn't at all to me

going the other method I don't know what "the gear icon" is. I have an icon that looks like the FG logo that opens the specific weapon window. I can edit the damage dice but that doesn't change the dice on the actions tab.

So my interface doesn't have the same features as that. after step 4 see attached, Does it make a difference in FG if I'm creating a character in DM mode v player mode?

That's the standard UI for a PFRPG campaign without any extensions loaded. I didn't see anything attached to your previous message.

If you have extensions loaded, try disabling the extensions, and loading campaign again.
Otherwise, please type /console while the campaign is open, click the Compile Logs, and post the file here.

I can help with this via discord as well (see your other post). If it makes you feel any better, the interface does get much more user friendly IMO once you understand it better, It does stay reasonably consistent.
