It's working for me. Are you using the latest version from github, as linked just above your post? The forge version is out of date. If you are using the github version, can you please give more details and/or screenshots so we can try to help?

if we get the updated version from github, wont the forge version just update over it when check for updates is run?

It shouldn't because I've given it a version number that is alphabetically higher than the forge version. But if you want to be extra sure you can disable the forge version, which I would recommend because the forge version will not be updated again.

Correct, it shouldn't update at all because the newer version. Also if/when Farratto takes over the ext, it will need to be made into a new FORGE post and you will need to get that one instead of this one.
